Position Summary
Senior Financial Planning Analyst focuses on short and long-term financial planning and financial analysis of functional operations for the purpose of measuring and forecasting performance. The role involves data gathering, modeling building and maintenance as well as coordination across various stakeholders; requiring strong focus on accuracy, continuous improvement and high-quality results.
Responsibilities
Partners with FP&A Team to provide financial reporting and analysis
Participate in the development of the annual financial plan as well as quarterly forecasts
Leads monthly closing process for functional areas of responsibility
Build financial models that provide insight into strategic initiatives and operational and financial trends
Prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operations performance analysis
Educates the team on financial processes and identifies areas for process improvement
Ensures processes and procedures are followed by groups supported
Responsible for integrating resources effectively and anticipating conflicting needs with pro-active solutions
Operates as part of a larger team and in managing own work
Maintains strong interactive relationships with internal customers by listening, clarifying, and responding effectively
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field
5 years of progressive Finance experience operating in a performance / results-oriented culture
Ability to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly present recommendations and summarize complex issues
An eye towards continuous process improvement, including the ability to innovate and simplify both finance and operational processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced Excel skills required
Works well on a team but can also manage work individually
Self-starter with intellectual curiosity
