The AMXL FP&A analyst partners closely with operations and finance teams to influence the strategic direction of the business, drive operational excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions.
Key job responsibilities
Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) Finance seeks a Senior Finance Analyst in its EU FP&A organization. You will own key financial reporting and alignment, develop key processes around the organization's goals, and to perform financial analyses of major business events. You will become a valued business partner by focusing on core finance functions, identifying and publishing key metrics and work on special projects to achieve optimal performance.
A day in the life
This role will partner will multiple stakeholders within both finance and the business leadership to provide insight, analysis and financial leadership as we rapidly expand and evolve the AMXL business. This role will provide extensive cross-functional opportunities to partner with teams including Global Delivery Services (GDS), Amazon Transportation Services (ATS), Global Consumer Fulfillment (GCF), and Amazon Logistics (AMZL), and various FP&A teams. This role will create and sustain performance measurements and reporting on strategic input drivers to continuously improve the economics of the business.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or a Bachelor's degree and experience in quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance)
Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field
Experience in accounts receivable or account payable
Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
Experience in creating process improvements with automation and analysis
Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
Preferred Qualifications
MBA, or CPA
Knowledge of Tableau
Experience participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
