About this position:
The Finance & Strategy (F&S) team serves as a trusted adviser to the business to help inform and guide decision making through business partner support and insightful analyses. We are looking for bright, goal oriented individuals that will succeed in a fast-paced environment and thrive in building and improving processes that will allow the company to scale.
The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Business Technology team, building annual budgets, managing quarterly forecasts, and providing decision support through financial analysis to ensure optimal returns on strategic investments. You will ensure accurate forecasting while providing meaningful performance updates and business insights that drive operational efficiency. Successful candidates for this team have strong financial and analytical skills, excel at extracting insights from data and a process improvement mindset. Additionally, this individual is expected to have exceptional communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities and deal with ambiguity effectively. This individual is also expected to be an integral player in important cross-functional, organization wide initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities:
Support annual and quarterly planning process across Business Technology leaders, ensuring their monthly & quarterly reporting decks are accurate and up to date.Collaborate with business partners to ensure accurate forecasting across multiple teams. Provide monthly variance analysis.Use Tableau to help aggregate and report out data in an automated, meaningful, and digestible way for our business partnersConduct in-quarter puts & takes review sessions - ensuring that the organization can flex and react to short-term budget surpluses/deficits.Run monthly workforce reporting metrics tracking spend for various labor costs across the CIO organizationBuild flexible and dynamic reporting to allow for maximum insight to both short and long term strategic investment decisions.Use financial metrics and financial modeling to help drive business decisions and investment prioritiesPartner with Accounting to manage in-quarter variances and understand timing implications of various accounting entries.Drive operational improvement and standardization across the Finance and Strategy Organization.
Required Experience / Skills
Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on theValues & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc.)3-4 years of relevant work experienceExperience building financial and decision support models, along with good analytical, problem-solving skillsAbility to multi-task effectively in a fast paced, quickly changing environmentAbility to work cross functionally and an ability to influence at all levels within the organizationMicrosoft Excel expertise essentialGood communication skills (written and verbal) with an ability to explain complex issues in an understandable wayIntellectual curiosity, fueled by a proactive approach to continuously expand one's skillsHighly motivated, self-aware, collaborative, and responsiveExperience with the following systems is a plus - Hyperion, Oracle, Business Objects, or other BI tools.
