Job Description Your Career
Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Senior Analyst to help drive deep analytical work to support the Company’s goals. This person will be responsible for several planning & analysis processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various business projects.
Your Impact
Work closely with the Entity and Regional Controllers to ensure adequacy of Accruals with associated back up at the month end and quarter endHelp analyze the Journals posted and reduce the number of Non Standard JournalsAutomate where possible, the calculation and posting of AccrualsTracking and forecasting expense line items and headcountPartner with business to develop long - range goals, annual budgets, and monthly forecastsPrepare the monthly / quarterly forecast file and explain the variances ( vis a vis Actuals and Budgets) and upload into the systemGather and analyze data to solve problems and evaluate scenarios and support decision makingInterpret results using a variety of techniques, ranging from simple data aggregation to complex data analysisProvide insight on the goals, forecasts, and financial performance of individual business areasInterpret financial and operational performance to identify business risks and opportunitiesImprove financial status by analyzing results, trends, and variances & recommend actionsCommunicate effectively with team and business partners to build relationships and present actionable and insightful recommendations Qualifications Your Experience
CA or MBA with bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent military experience required5+ years of related experience in FP&A in a large US MNCExperience with SAP or large ERP systems a plusProficient with Excel and PowerPointCritical Thinking - Ability to look at the numbers, trends, and data and come to new conclusions based on the findingsThorough working knowledge of finance, basic accounting, and business analysisIndependently and proactively analyze financial information and develop solutions to complex problemsAbility to multitask, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPromote teamwork and collaborationEnergetic and positive Additional Information The Team
