As a Senior Engineering Manager on Engine Productivity Tools, you will design and build internal applications to help with the development, testing, configuration, and release of the Roblox engine. You will lead a team of full-stack engineers to develop innovative tools that enhance the productivity of Roblox engineers and the reliability of our applications. Your vision will help drive our tooling to a feature set and scope that rivals applications like Meta's Phabricator or Google's Borg. You Will:
Lead Engine's Productivity Tools team by coordinating with product managers, tech leads, and individual contributorsImplement engineering best practices and strategiesBuild internal tools and products with a tight feedback loop with the goal of improving the efficiency of engineering teamsTake ownership of projects throughout their full lifecyclesBe part of the leadership team that helps shape the direction and priorities of the Engine Productivity organizationYou will report to the Director of Engineering You Have:
5+ years of engineering management experience and experience hiring and growing a high-performing software engineering teamExperience building internal applications and developer toolsDomain expertise in web developmentProficiency in at least one programming language (C++, C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript) For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits.
