The core responsibilities of this position are following:Responsible for independently delivering design for Reliability (DFR) in eMobility Electrical/Electronics products development programs without impacting schedule.Responsible to influence the design and bring in novel ideas to not only mitigate reliability/safety risks but also aid to optimize the product performance. Leads the PoF based reliability testing for Electrical/Electronics products (for example Inverter,DC DC conveters, Breaktor etc.) Responsible for planning & conducting reliability life testing and leveraging Eaton internal test labs and external agencies (e.g. ARAI) as appropriate.Builds data analytics-based solution by leveraging Electrical/Electronics products actuarial database in the area of reliability life modeling.Arrests warranty defects through optimized Burn-in strategies in close collaboration with respective plants. And drives problem solving methods within the organization such as FRACAS / Shainin Red X in the new product development &/or existing product engineering
Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with Master's Degree in Reliability Engineering /Quality ManagementPreferred: PhD in Reliability EngineeringRelevant 3+ work experience in the field of Aerospace/Vehicle/Electronics/Electrical systems.
Skills:
Proficiency in DfR process like reliability modeling, goal setting, allocation, prediction, demonstration (life data analysis, growth plots & ALT)Proficiency in RMS standards such as IEC 62380, MIL-HDBK-217F, NPRD-95, Knowledge in FRACAS and reducing field/warranty data into relevant life and failure rate information.Desired: Relevant work experience in the field of Electronics and Electrical systems. Preferred: DFSS GB certified from reputed organization and ASQ - CRE.Experience with any industry proven reliability analysis suite of tools, Sherlock & Reliasoft ,Minitab preferred.
