Eaton's ES AMER Sector Integration division is currently seeking a Senior Engineer - Product Stewardship (Regulatory) & Sustainability CoE. This position offers a HYBRID work schedule.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.

What you'll do:
The Senior Engineer Product Stewardship & Sustainability CoE is responsible for supporting product stewardship & sustainability activities of the AERO/AMER group of the Industrial Sector.
In addition to compliance-related activities, the position holder will work closely with the AERO Group Engineer for supporting product teams of the AERO group concerning the Positive Impact Framework addressing product sustainability as well as the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with the design of and use of aerospace products.
The position holder will support the development and implementation of product design tools integrated into the PROLaunch NPI process. The position holder will act as resource to consult and support product teams across the divisions regarding the eco-design execution in NPI- and VAVE-projects.

Advocates Eaton's commitments towards sustainable development in the engineering community and the enterprise Product Stewardship and Sustainability CoE.Interprets existing, new, and upcoming product stewardship-related regulations of markets affecting products of Eaton Aerospace business.Translates product stewardship-related regulatory requirements into actionable product specifications.Implements methods to estimate and report the scope-3 emissions of the aerospace business product portfolio.Applies new design principles, tools and methods to address and reduce product lifecycle emissions ("("Design for Compliance/Climate Change/Circularity - DfC3"").Implements methods to quantify circularity such as recyclability, re-usability, durability, and disassembly of products.Supports new product- and VAVE-programs regarding the execution of the eco-design process ((DfC3) for ensuring that internal and external eco-design-related requirements are met.Supports activities related to lifecycle assessments and environmental product declarations
Qualifications:
Required Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, related Sciences, or similar from an accredited institution2+ years of experience in product-related compliance management or aerospace design.This position requires the use of information or access to hardware that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), has been granted Political Asylum, or Refugee.Must be able to work in the United States on a continual basis without requiring corporate sponsorship now or in the future Must reside within a 50-mile radius of a US Aerospace facility as stated in the job description above.
Preferred Qualifications:
Comprehension of industry, regional, and country product stewardship-related requirements. Understanding of environmental impacts of aerospace products and resulting customer needs.Ability to collect, understand and communicate complex product-related requirements.
Skills:
Development of platforms, processes, and methods to ensure compliance with product-related internal- and external environmental requirementsCustomer Service to internal customers (business) and external customers related to chemical compliance and sustainability requestsEnsuring that NPI-projects comply with the above requirements including PIF and GHG Emission calculation activitiesSupport of all ITAR-related product evaluations for the above compliance applicable to products developed and manufactured by AERO/AMER group.Strong team-building skills.Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage a large number of disparate projects and to track projects through completion.Thorough knowledge of product-related design, production, and use practices.Adept at the utilization of company-wide systems and product-related data management.Ability to demonstrate managerial courage (e.g., managing varied interests representing potential conflicts).Ability to support cross-functional process improvement teams.
