Advanced Cooling Technologies, Inc. (ACT) is a premier thermal management solutions company, focusing on custom applications of two-phase heat transfer technology. Currently we have openings in our Lancaster facility for a Senior Engineer, Product Development. Our Product Development teams work with some of the biggest names in the aerospace industry, providing thermal solutions for a range of applications.
*SUMMARY: *This is a hands-on position and involves all aspects of planning and managing Product Development projects from bid and proposal (B&P) to final deliverables. The Senior Engineer performs mechanical and thermal design and analyses to support project requirements. They manage all aspects of engineering projects including concept generation, proposal development, project schedule, personnel allocation, progress tracking, customer interaction, and budget control.
The Senior Engineer has the challenge of managing multiple projects and the satisfaction of seeing a project through all life cycles.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *include the following:
Assist Sales and Marketing personnel in evaluating potential opportunities.Write proposals and/or quotation for customers including Bill of materials and engineering hours estimates, as required.Conduct electrical, mechanical, structural, and thermal design analyses per customer specifications.Generate technical data package including drawings and recommended spare parts lists per customer requirements.Document reports, both interim and final, detailing program progress, problems, and proposed solutions.Communicate progress with customer using tools such as an Integrated Master Schedule, Action Item List, Risk Register, etc.Generate, disposition, and implement Engineering Change Notices and generate Configuration Management Accounting Sheets, as required.Document program schedules.Establish and document work plan for laboratory technicians to complete proposed tasks.Evaluate and report test results.Responsible for the financial performance of the Product Development Team.Report Product Development Team performance monthlyAuthorize disposition of Nonconforming Materials.Coordinate activities with regard to risk assessment, as required.Conduct a review of customer Contracts, as required.Follow Digital Product Definition and Coordinate Measurement Systems procedures, as required.EDUCATION, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE:
B.S. degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related Engineering field with a minimum of 7 years in a technically oriented company.M.S. degree preferred.Prior experience in using modern design and analysis software such as SolidWorks (CAD), Autodesk, Mathcad etc.Good verbal and written skills essential.Managing in-person and web/video presentations is essential.Prior experience using FEA and/or CFD.Prior experience in the design and development of custom thermal products.Prior experience in Sales and marketing of thermal products.WORK AUTHORIZATION/SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
