  AES Clean Energy is currently seeking a Senior EHS Specialist to oversee Environmental, Health, and Safety plans and compliance for solar and solar + battery storage and wind O&M projects in the US. The position will be based remotely and report to the Safety Manager. The role requires the ability to oversee EHS plans and compliance on multiple project portfolios and frequent travel to sites located throughout the Northeast and Northern US to audit compliance with AES Clean Energy's EHS policies and local project requirements.

  Key Responsibilities:

  Lead activities and efforts around EHS-related incidents and investigationsIdentify and build action plans and strategies through analyticsMaintain compliance with legal and regulatory EHS requirementsMaintain and continually improve the EHS Management SystemsDirect, develop and deliver safety, health and environmental training programsContribute to achieve EHS targets in support of business objectives.Acts as a lead person or technical expert on complex projectsOther duties as assigned

  Key Requirements:

  Proven leadership skillsProven expertise in field level safetyExperience in a utility scale solar project (preferred)Possesses a passion for Environmental Health and SafetyPossesses understanding of safety programs, understands how to operate with them and knows why they are in placeAbility to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of an organizationAbility to build effective relationships; possess strong interpersonal skillsAbility to review, analyze and draw conclusions from data; effectively use the conclusions to make and communicate key recommendationsStrong computer and analytical skillsGood communicationHas an attitude that "finishes the work" to a high level of professionalismMust be able to and enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentCSP or equivalent preferred4-7 years related experienceDemonstrates alignment with AES Values, cultural foundational elements and our WE ARE AES principles

  The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $75,000 and $106,250/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
