Summary:
The Senior Drupal Web Developer must know Drupal inside and out with experience taking sophisticated page designs and building out the required content types, frontend HTML/CSS/JS, and writing custom modules as needed. The developer should be very familiar with commonly used Drupal modules and understand the basic architecture for Drupal sites. Our clients appreciate high attention to detail when translating designs to code, so we prefer developers who have an eye for common user experience and design issues that crop up on both desktop and mobile implementations.
You will work alongside a skilled team of other web developers, and will collaborate with them on projects, following Agile/Scrum methodologies. Code reviews, quality assurance, and user-acceptance testing are all part of our process to ensure high caliber results.
This role will follow our hybrid model which includes reporting in person to our headquarters in Chevy Chase, MD two days each week.

What you'll do:
Develop, deploy, and maintain security and quality of Web applications.Provide support for existing websites and help create new ones.Participate in agile/capability team processes, providing technical expertise to advise sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and sprint reviews.Provide design documents, test plans, and test results for applications.Provide focus in collaborative problem solving, identify key technical issues and provide perspective when required.Provide technical leadership and cross-training to peers in areas of expertise.Liaise with other IT teams to provide support the websites as needed.
What you bring:
BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information technology; or a combination of education and related experience.Minimum of 9 years of web development experience.Minimum of 5 years of hands-on development experience with major Drupal versions.Strong fluency in PHP and MySQL.Proficiency with creating custom Drupal modules.Proficiency with Git and Github.Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JS, Node.JS, NPM, React, SAAS, Bootstrap, etc.Experience with translating web designs into front end code.Experience with Docker, CI/CD, Kubernetes, cloud platforms is a plus.Experience with other programming languages is a plus.Contributions to Open-source projects a plus.

Compensation Range
$120,076.00 (minimum) - $150,095.00 (midpoint) - $195,123.50 (maximum)

HHMI's salary structure is developed based on relevant job market data. HHMI considers a candidate's education, previous experiences, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity when making job offers. Typically, a new hire for this position in this location is compensated between the minimum and the midpoint of the salary range.
