ROLE SUMMARY
Currently there are more than 1 billion people who suffer from migraines worldwide, making this one of the largest population health challenges of our times.Zavegepant is the first and only calcitonin gene related peptide (CGRP) receptor antagonist nasal spray for the acute treatment of migraine in adults. Zavegepant has been approved in the US in March 2023 under the brand name ZAVZPRET and will be commercialized across IDM, Emerging Markets and China after regulatory submissions and approvals.
NURTEC ODT /VYDURA (Rimegepant) is the first and only oral CGRP receptor antagonist for the acute and preventive treatment of migraine and is approved in the U.S., Canada, Switzerland, EU, UK, and several emerging markets (including UAE, Kuwait, Mexico, Central America) with approvals pending across markets worldwide over the next few years. Rimegepant has the opportunity to change the paradigm in migraine treatment and potentially establish a new standard of care.
The Sr. Director, Zavegepant Lead & Migraine Lifeicycle Lead is a critical role to ensure successful launches of Zavegepant and Rimegepant and for delivering global value within the portfolio.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead Global marketing strategies and cross-functional team to commercialize Zavegepant globally. Develop brand strategy, differentiation strategies vs. the competition
Partner with R&D, GAV and CSI to design Zavegepant clinical program to ensure registration and optimal reimbursement in IDM, EM and China markets
Refine Zavegepant forecasts, launch sequencing, operational launch timelines globally and regionally to maximize asset value
Provide clear commercial perspective to enable strategic and resource decisions from PGS, and partner with PGS to address patient needs for Zavegepant multi-dose intranasal formulations while reducing COGS.
Lead team driving commercial efforts and setting strategy for the migraine portfolio by developing Zavegapant/Rimegepant co-positioning strategy, forecasts, and strategic plans for potential future indications and product launches.
Providing strategic direction for competitive planning to ensure the portfolio continues to grow (through both competitive intelligence and global commercial interventions) amongst a highly competitive market.
Provide expertise and hands-on partnership to Global Marketing lead, Regional Presidents, Country Managers, IDM and EM Chief Commercial Officer as technical/functional expert and advisor to address local issues
Partner with regions / countries on strategic scenario planning or deep dive analyses to identify key enablers/derailers and build plans and actions, including rallying internal or external support/functional expertise needed
Lead Lifecycle planning, generation of new data and real world evidence in partnership with medical, regulatory, R&D, GAV colleague; assessing what data will be of greatest strategic value and appropriately prioritizing data needs across markets
Continually assess competitive environment, new product launches and competitive clinical data to determine migraine portfolio competitive strategy & response
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BA or BS required; MBA preferred
Minimum 15+ years commercial pharmaceutical industry experience in marketing, strategy, new product launch, business development in pharmaceutical, medical device or biotechnology companies
Prior experience with US and/or global product launch and lifecycle management preferred
Experience interfacing/collaborating with in-country marketing, medical affairs, regulatory, and PGS
Strong strategic skills, ability to make trade off decisions, evaluate business opportunities, build and sell in business cases
Ability to work independently across senior level stakeholders and demonstrate judgement of what needs to be escalated
Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral and written)
Strong project management skills with demonstrated ability to lead large and diverse cross-functional teams and country teams
Excellent leadership skills and ability to lead diverse cross-functional teams
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Business/Commercial Development experience for lifecycle opportunities
Migraine/CNS experience is highly preferred

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $191,300.00 to $318,800.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
