KPMG is currently seeking a Senior Director, Strategic Projects to join our Strategic Planning team within our Growth and Strategy organization.
Responsibilities:Manage strategic projects that are related to firmwide strategic priorities; work with our Strategic Planning team and the Chief Strategy officer to support the execution of programmatic efforts related to the firmwide strategyLead special projects that support the overall strategy, such as development of a new service offering strategyCoordinate with project stakeholders, driving and creating project specific deliverables and understanding how the effort ties into firm operations / functions and overall strategic goalsPerform strategy development and general management consulting: develop ad-hoc studies, analyses and strategies to support the Firm's long-term strategic goals such as evaluation of new thrusts for growth, competitive response, or overcoming internal barriersAct as a liaison with the market intelligence organization to identify analysis or research needed to inform strategic studiesTake responsibility for analysis, developing/testing hypotheses and recommendations, creating business cases, gathering feedback, creating internal alignment and presenting output to senior leadership to help guide decisionsQualifications:Minimum four years of recent experience with strong performance at a strategy consulting firmBachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with a relevant business discipline essential; post-graduate degree from an accredited college/university is desirable, preferably MBA, JD, or PhD Experience in at least one of the following strategy consulting areas: corporate or business unit strategy development, scenario planning, product development and management, operational and performance improvement, or other relevant strategy experienceExperience leading large transformation programs and coordination of complex projects across multiple stakeholders; demonstrated, mature aptitude to work and collaborate within a matrixed partnership environment, engender collegiality and trust, and manage/motivate individuals outside of direct reporting lines Solid strategic insight development, strategy process design, research, analytical and project management skills; outstanding organizational skills and ability to interface effectively with all levels of the firmDemonstrated high level of skills in interpersonal relationship building, people management, and leadership; blend of excellent verbal / written communication skills and very strong quantitative capabilities
