Senior Director Revenue Accounting Remote - USA,USA Position Summary SolomonEdwards is seeking to hire a consultant with expertise in the technology industry, particularly in SaaS, to contribute to our rapidly expanding client base. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join as the Senior Director of Revenue Accounting. In this leadership role, you will play a crucial part in driving the company's financial success by overseeing all aspects of revenue accounting, with a particular focus on acquisition integration. Essential Duties Revenue Recognition Leadership: • Develop and implement robust revenue recognition policies in compliance with relevant accounting standards. • Provide guidance on complex revenue transactions, ensuring accurate and timely recognition Acquisition Integration: • Lead the revenue accounting aspects of the acquisition process, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration. • Assess and align acquired entities' revenue recognition practices with the company's policies. Financial Reporting: • Oversee the preparation and review of accurate and timely financial statements related to revenue, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Cross-Functional Collaboration: • Work closely with sales, legal, and other departments to understand and address revenue-related issues. • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. Process Improvement: • Continuously evaluate and enhance revenue accounting processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency. • Implement best practices to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. Position Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required. • Proven experience with a minimum 10 years in a Senior Director Revenue Accounting role within a high-tech or software company. • Strong understanding of revenue recognition principles and experience with complex revenue transactions. • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading the revenue accounting aspects of acquisition integrations. • Successfully leading the revenue accounting aspects of acquisition integrations, including a track record of effectively merging financial systems, processes, and teams. • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
