What you'll do:
Establish new / cultivate existing senior level relationships across key publisher organizations (i.e. BuzzFeed, Washington Post, Conde Nast, etc.)Understand and communicate TTD's value proposition and technologyPerform industry & trend research and analysis, and identify unique, forward thinking partnership opportunitiesSpeak on panels, client pitches, and at industry events about TTD's approach to inventory with a clear, compelling voice.Build strategic business plans and align product with key publisher partners for overall growthLead contract negotiations with proven ability to closeEvangelize and support adoption of identity strategies, including but not limited to Unified ID 2.0 across all publishersEvangelize and support adoption of clean supply including : adoption of existing and new IAB standards and signals, importance of mechanics of SPO, role and value of OpenPath.Coordinate global publisher discussionsBuild go to market plans for industry leading products
Who you are:
Bachelors Degree10+ years of programmatic experience in publisher business development for SSPs, data companies, media companies, or other related organizationsEstablished relationships with decision-makers at top digital publishers; deep understanding of the sell side of digital advertisingProven ability to build trust and rapport with new partnersProven communication, questioning, and listening skills in formal and informal settingsExcellent initiative and stakeholder management (internally and externally), ability to see around corners and plan accordinglyExperience building and delivering on strategic partnerships goalsTrack record of closing dealsExperience collaborating and building consensus across Sales, Account Management, Product, Marketing, Legal & Finance teamsBias toward ownership and action.Experience leading both short-term and mid-term sales/partnership cyclesAbility to rapidly grasp new technology and product changes; comfort with complex conceptsStrong quantitative skills, rooting decisions in data

Our Compensation and Benefits ( for NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only)
At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$177,900 -$326,200
In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year.
