What you will be doing
This position is a US based Virtual role.
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, the Senior Director, Global Compliance Monitoring & Investigations is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Cencora Global Compliance Monitoring Program and managing and conducting compliance investigations. Works closely with the Group Compliance Officers, Legal Department, IT, Privacy, Internal Audit, and Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). Manages staff in the Corporate Compliance Department including responsibility for the direct supervision of the Global Compliance Monitoring and Investigations Team and the Third-Party Screening and Trade Sanctions team.
Responsible for providing leadership to the Office of Compliance and direction for the compliance monitoring and investigatory functions of the Office of ComplianceDirects and participates in the global compliance monitoring program, including developing monitoring tools, reports, department documents, and presentations supporting the Cencora Global Compliance ProgramDirects and participates in the global compliance investigations program Identifies opportunities to leverage data analytics to identify and mitigate compliance risk in support of the Cencora Compliance ProgramCommunicates those findings to Compliance leadership and Cencora commercial and functional stakeholdersManages the Compliance hotline, evaluates in-coming reports to develop and investigation plan. Conducts investigations and/or assigns investigators. Prepares trend reports and other read-outs for the Cencora Compliance Committee and/or other relevant stakeholders.Develops and manages annual budget for Corporate Compliance Department related to monitoring and investigationsManages the Global Compliance Third-Party Screening and Trade Sanctions program. Ensures that compliance screening pursuant to these programs are performed timely and accurately, including but not limited to Exclusion and Debarment and FCPA screening.Ensures the management for the toll-free reporting line is handled according to the compliance plan, including the official log, findings, and document management.Ensures that all Global Compliance Monitoring & Investigations staff are properly trained and able to perform duties as outlined in their job descriptions, role and responsibility documents.Contributes to the annual Cencora risk assessment in collaboration with Internal Audit and ERM. Is completed annually.Manages, reviews, and evaluates changes in government regulations and makes recommendations to corporate compliance policy and procedures, particularly those relevant to the monitoring, investigations, trade sanctions, and third-party screening programs.Reviews and evaluates changes in Company programs and services, and makes recommendations to corporate compliance program, policy or oversight requirementsParticipates in external committees, task forces or groups related to ComplianceParticipates in corporate task teams related to new business strategies.Participates in Compliance CommitteeCreates mission and performance management standards to ensure a clear understanding of team goals and success measures; works with management team to help identify skills needed for projects or work activities and match skill requirements with talentCreates presentations for committee and board meetings, supporting the Office of Compliance and Chief Compliance OfficerMust be willing to travel extensively, including international travel
What your background should look like
Requires extensive expertise (5 years or more) in compliance monitoring, investigations, data analytics, trade sanctions and third-party screeningAdditional training and expertise in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, computer sciences, healthcare or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four (4) year bachelor's degree programExperience managing global compliance investigations in a multi-national company requiredRobust data analytics skillsAble to communicate effectivelyStrong leadership skillsStrong Ethical ConductExcellent logical, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions; ability to resolve associate issues effectively and efficientlyExcellent organizational, motivational and interpersonal skillsProficient with Microsoft Office applications, and technically competent with report and department tools, systems, and portals
