Job Description The Global Benefits COE is seeking a leader with extensive knowledge and experience in leading global benefits strategy and operational delivery. The Senior Director, Global Benefit Operations is responsible for overseeing, designing, and developing how we manage and deliver benefit programs for our organization. These programs include health and welfare, retirement, time off, disability, life and accident insurance, cars, select allowances, and all other work-life benefits available to employees. Responsibilities include driving global strategic management and delivery of benefits in 85 plus non-US countries with strategic interlock and alignment with US benefits. This role is accountable to lead and drive how we deliver our benefit programs in a operationally effective, financially prudent, legally compliant, competitive, and innovative way.
Reporting to the Vice President, Global Benefits, Senior Director, Global Benefits Strategy and Operations ensures that all processes across program and vendor management, financial management, compliance and governance, operational delivery and employee experience are best in class and aligned with our values and objectives.
Key responsibilities
Build out the long-term approach to assess all benefits annually (in partnership with regional leaders) to bring recommendations to leadership. Review and assess all programs for financial management, compliance, competitiveness, and effective delivery. Bring well thought out recommendations and strategies to leadership showing a comprehensive view by country that also align to Visa and People Team (aka HR) objectives.
Ensure governance and processes are in place to comply with legal requirements worldwide and work with external consultants to remain up to date on changes and trends.
Build and manage a Global Broker Model and leverage support across country and global programs.
Partner with internal finance teams on the fringe accounting model and manage the governance, approval process and reporting for budgeting and funding of benefits, globally.
Act as the benefits financial, reporting, data flow SME for the Global Benefits team. Leverage systems and tools (internal and external) to compile, assess, and provide reporting on data and insights.
Build out the procurement-to-payment process in partnership with Sourcing and Finance to ensure all benefit payments are made on time and in compliance with contractual terms. Ensure Visa accounting and recordkeeping requirements are satisfied.
Lead ad hoc projects related to benefits operational delivery.
Provide benefits leadership and oversight for all M and A deal activity in collaboration with country and regional benefits team members and other functional partners.
Provide leadership for all areas of internal risk and compliance for the Global Benefits COE.
Monitor the effectiveness of existing benefits programs and vendors' services, using utilization data, benchmark data and feedback from the People Team and business stakeholders.
Build and manage governance for global vendor management and provide metrics on performance and effectiveness.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications

Strong knowledge of cultural considerations, local legislation and compliance in a large, complex organization with employees in many countries.Strong program and vendor performance management, cost benefit analysis and budget management experience.Strong expertise in regulations and laws that apply to benefit plans around the globe and thorough knowledge of how global benefit organizations operate and influence and support in country benefits.Demonstrated business, financial, and HR acumen with strong project management capability, deep analytical ability, and creative problem-solving skills.Proven track record of translating vision into executable strategy and successfully navigating ambiguity and risk benefit analysis.Ability to use data insights and metrics to create rationale for recommendations.
