Job Description Team Summary
The Corporate Communication team in China Mainland is a strategic and high performing function that reports into Visa’s Greater China, Asia Pacific and Global Corporate Communication function, as well as local market leadership. It is our role to advance and protect Visa’s reputation and drive business growth.
What a Senior Director of Corporate Communications does at Visa:
As head of the Corporate Communication function in China Mainland, this is an exciting role that will enable you to develop, lead and execute the communication strategy, ensure alignment to business goals, and lead a team with a diverse portfolio across the geography.
The individual will help Visa achieve our business objectives through strategic communication programs that anticipate and manage the complexities of the region, while supporting business development. Leading a small team, the individual is expected to partner with senior business leaders and teams to advance the business agenda, manage and deliver strategic communication campaigns internally and externally, and act as an advisory point to business functions to support business objectives and drive growth across the region.
This role:
Leads and owns the delivery of the overarching Corporate Communication strategy, liaising with senior stakeholders to understand business and functional strategies and ultimately translate those into a communications strategy that delivers business and scorecard objectivesHas accountability for programmatic thought leadership and reputation in China Mainland that positions Visa as a partner of choice on key topics across the ecosystem – to consumers, merchants, banks, tech companies, governments and regulatory stakeholders – while balancing and/or managing sensitivities that come with a global brand and network-based businessHas extensive experience of B2B communication, enable effective communication in transforming Visa into a best in class B2B sales organizationProvides strategic advice and produces presentations, key messages and briefing materials for Country Managers and senior executives, extending from leading the executive visibility program to supporting media interviews for spokespeopleLeads the conceptualisation and overall delivery of the annual market kickoff and employee communications agenda, driving employee engagement and establishing Visa as a best place to work – internally and externally – in a way that retains and attracts talentEstablish Visa as a responsible corporate citizen that supports China Mainland’s purpose agenda and contributes to the well-being of citizens, winning their hearts and minds through the activation of social impact programsDevelop local activities to leverage global and regional sponsorshipsLead the business in identification, preparation and response to any reputational issues The successful candidate is one who will engage stakeholders and develop a well-thought out communication plan aligned with business objectives, rally the team towards first-rate execution of plans while remaining nimble to deal with unexpected circumstances in a rapidly evolving industry.

Qualifications What you will need:
