  A role you will love

  Reporting directly to the Head of Technology, the Senior DevelopmentManager drives the delivery of high-quality solutions and is accountablefor all aspects of the software development process across a portfolioof applications and supporting frameworks. The role is responsible fordevelopment practice - using their knowledge of technology, tools,policy and procedures to ensure that: technical solutions meet businessrequirements and conform to Computershare\'s architectural and securitystandards; and that their teams follow the software developmentmethodology.

  The Senior Development Manager is also responsible for people managementand leadership of their teams. The role will focus on ensuring thatthere is a clearly defined progression plan for ambitious and highpotential individuals within the development team, and ensuring that theteam is challenged, motivated and harmonized.

  The Senior Development Manager assigns people to projects in support ofbusiness priorities; reviews and evaluates work; advises on policies andprocedures, technical problems and methods; and liaises with other teamssuch as Architecture, Solutions, Support Operations, Project ManagementOffice and Client Services to coordinate activities. Responsibilitystarts from early engagement (feasibility and estimates) toimplementation of new or revised applications, systems and programs.

  Other Key Responsibilities include:

  Facilitates delivery of high-quality solutions that are stable andresilient; conform to security and architectural standards; and aredeveloped in line with the software development methodology.Works collaboratively with stakeholders to shape new clientpropositions, services and products.Uses meaningful metrics to track delivery of value and high customersatisfaction.Collaborates to ensure the smooth transition of new or enhancedproducts into production.Ensures appropriate use of available resource. Facilitates use ofoutsourcing services as required, ensuring contracts are in placeand staff are effectively on-boarded and measured.Focuses on innovation, quality and productivity to uplift deliverycapability. Embeds a culture of continuous improvement andcollaborates with other teams, specialists and stakeholders.Manages individual and team performance and progress to meetobjectives through goal setting, regular feedback, coaching, rewardand recognition and following the appraisal process.Looks ahead to ensure the team has the talent it needs to attain itsgoals. Identify and nurture potential and provide a supportive andchallenging environment for staff to learn and develop.Ensures all IT governance and business processes are adhered to.Manages operational risks, audit findings, penetration test findingsand remediation plans.What will you bring to the role

  Experience as a Manager/Team Leader working with development teamsacross the full software development lifecycle, ideally within anenterprise context.Experience in using and implementing agile and waterfallmethodologies.Excellent leadership skills - sets direction, builds consensus andshares a vision and values.
