About Senior Design Thinking Strategist

  Eaton's ES AMER DIG division is currently seeking a Senior Design Thinking Strategist. This position offers REMOTE work schedule.

  The expected annual salary range for this role is $95247.0 - $139695.6 a year.

  What you'll do:

  The primary function of the Senior Design Thinking Strategist is to play an important part in shaping and implementing strategy and process to fulfill our mission of building design thinking capabilities and supporting practitioners across the enterprise. You will take ownership in the design, development, and delivery of design thinking training offerings, coaching activities, resource materials, and community events. You will plan and lead workshops with internal project teams and provide guidance in Design Thinking application, providing great opportunity to grow your skills as an effective collaborator, facilitator, educator, and advocate for the end user.   In this role, you will:

  Propose topics for strategy conversations and participate in problem-solving and decision-making.Take ownership of individual training offerings, including course design and delivery as well as scheduling, registration management, and feedback surveys.Leverage your experience to share best practices and guide others in applying the design thinking principles and methods to real business challenges.Take the lead in planning workshop agendas, preparing materials, and facilitating activities, while also navigating challenges, adjusting on the fly, and keeping groups on track towards objectives.Contribute to project-scoping conversations for design thinking engagements and work with internal and external team members to get the work done successfully.Collaborate with industrial and user experience designers to bring world-class design and facilitation services into product development efforts with Eaton businesses around the world.Tap into your experiences and growing design thinking expertise to build content for best practice documents and other materials that can be distributed widely for self-guided learning and doing.Create and participate in channels and events that foster connections and conversations across our internal community of design thinking practitioners and facilitators.Manage your workload effectively across multiple projects and programs, execute process improvement initiatives, and complete program management tasks.Engage in ongoing dialogue with your manager and team members to give and receive constructive feedback that will drive your performance and growth.

  Qualifications:

  Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.Minimum of 3 years of experience in one or a combination of the following: human-computer interaction (HCI), human-centered design, product management, marketing, facilitation, change management, strategy development, digital product design, industrial design, communication design, and/or user research.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelor's in Design or certificate in Design Thinking from an accredited institution or program.Skilled at using digital whiteboarding tools, such as Miro or Mural, and Microsoft Office products.Access to an online portfolio or presentation that demonstrates deep knowledge and broad application of product design, communication design, strategy development, user research, or workshop facilitation. Knowledge in lean product development and data analytics is a plus.Experience working with or within a large industrial manufacturing company and an understanding of corporate business savvy. Familiarity with products in a similar or comparable space to Eaton is a plus. Bi-lingual (written and/or spoken) in French, Spanish, German, Hindi or any other non-English Language.

The more complex, the better.You're self-driven and take ownership in producing high quality project work. You stay organized and often deliver above and beyond project goals.You can travel internationally and domestically on an occasional basis. Travel is estimated at 10%.
