Job Title: Azure SQL Server and PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) / ETL Developer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator (DBA) and ETL developer with expertise in managing both Azure SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments. As a key member of our IT team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of our databases. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in database administration, cloud technologies, and a proven track record in optimizing database processes.
Responsibilities:
Database Management:
Design, implement, and maintain Azure and PostgreSQL databases.
Perform regular database capacity planning and monitoring.
Optimize database performance and ensure high availability.
Development:
Ability to develop ETL data integration processes. (TSQL required, Informatica IICS is a plus).
Stored procedures, functions, advanced SQL development and tuning.
Security and Compliance:
Implement and enforce database security policies.
Conduct regular security audits and take corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Backup and Recovery:
Develop and implement robust backup and recovery strategies.
Conduct regular testing of backup and recovery procedures.
Troubleshooting and Support:
Diagnose and resolve database-related issues promptly.
Provide technical support to development and operations teams.
Performance Tuning:
Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
Optimize SQL queries and database configurations.
Create database maintenance scripts.
Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of databases with applications.
Work closely with developers to provide database-related guidance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years' proven experience as a Database Administrator and ETL developer, with specific expertise in Azure and PostgreSQL.
In-depth knowledge of database architecture, design, and implementation.
Experience in cloud-based database management, particularly with Azure.
Strong proficiency in SQL and database performance tuning.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Relevant certifications in Azure and PostgreSQL are a plus.
