Position Summary
The Payor Agnostic Medicare Product team is looking for an ambitious Sr. Data Scientist to drive the analytics build of a high growth Enterprise Stars product. This position will collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and Marketing to deliver on a multi-year capability roadmap, bring to market a differentiated Medicare quality product. This role will be responsible for strategizing, planning and executing on multiple high priority analytics capabilities to enable intelligent program optimization. This role will also be accountable for implementing key analytics solutions in member-facing pilots to drive health outcomes. To succeed in this role, you must be able to:
Perform analyses of structured and unstructured data to solve multiple and/or complex business problems utilizing advanced statistical techniques and mathematical analyses and broad knowledge of the organization and/or industry
Collaborate with business partners to understand their problems and goals, develop appropriate analytics / data science approach to solve these problems, and execute predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data reports and performance metrics accordingly
Manage key delivery milestones and timeline independently, proactively communicate challenges, identify and implement mitigation strategy proactively
Develop and/or uses algorithms and statistical predictive models and determines analytical approaches and modeling techniques to evaluate scenarios and potential future outcomes
Develop and participates in presentations and consultations to existing and prospective constituents on analytics results and solutions
Use strong knowledge in algorithms and predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns and recommend solutions
Use strong programming skills to explore, examine and interpret large volumes of data in various forms
Required Qualifications
3+ years of relevant data science and analytic experience
Strong knowledge of advanced analytics tools, machine learning and languages to analyze large data sets from multiple data sources.
Demonstrates proficiency in most areas of mathematical analysis methods, machine learning, statistical analyses, and predictive modeling and in-depth specialization in some areas
Proficient in using R or Python
Proficient in SAS or SQL
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrates strong ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business partners
Anticipates and prevents problems and roadblocks before they occur
Education
Bachelor's degree in quantitative field, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
Master's degree in quantitative field strongly preferred
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$106,605.00 - $206,000.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
