Job Summary
Saint-Gobain Research North America is looking for talented, and energetic data scientists to join our Data team in driving digital transformations for key programs. The mission of this team is to develop world-class AI, data science, machine learning, and related solutions to extract insights from data for driving business and customer value. We provide data science expertise and partner with teams across the company, including R&D, sales, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing.
The Senior Data Scientist will help the organization develop a better understanding of R&D and business strategies by driving solutions and working with the various teams to deliver end-point solutions for improved industrial processes and provide optimized digital experiences. The Senior Data Scientist leads projects in the data science (statistics, machine learning) field related to smart manufacturing, business and logistics improvement, and R&D efforts improvement.
The main responsibilities of the data scientist include:
Working with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive digital business solutions.Collaboration with internal data and digital teams to set up the data analysis infrastructure (both software and hardware) in the cloudLeading cross-functional teams by managing self and others to execute and deliver project objectives. Presenting results from rigorous technical analyses in a clear and actionable way to project stakeholders and management.Summarizing project approach and results in concise and accurate technical memos.Building frameworks leveraging APIs to scale ML models across the organizationMaintaining a keen awareness of recent developments in data science and cloud computing infrastructures and state-of-the-art AI/ML/DL algorithms and research results
Required Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 7+ years' experience or master's degree with 3+ years of experience or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or other related disciplineProficiency in SQL, Python, Python data science stack (NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, Jupyter), Keras, and other ML tool
