The People Analytics team at Salesforce drives our client groups and partners to make data-informed and more inquisitive decisions faster! We build a decision support system to grow and scale our business. In this role, you will be responsible for documenting and maintaining data standards and executing efficient and accurate control structures to assess data quality and compliance with data governance policy. This role will help drive the increased maturity of our ES data management capabilities across the organization acting as an Analytics COE. Responsibilities: Participate in data governance policy creation, management, and analysis of potential impacts of policy choices under consideration. Document and maintain data standards, partnering with functional and business data owners to map existing HR data structures, usage, and standard definitions Design, build, and complete efficient and accurate control structures to assess data quality and compliance with data governance policy Provide consultative support for HR clients, advising on policies, standards, and guidelines. Perform data profiling and database structure research to understand relevant data elements and their definitions and use. Help to identify and deploy enterprise data standard processes such as data scoping, metadata standardization, lineage, data deduplication, mapping and transformation, and business validations. Own development and management of data glossaries and data owner matrices to establish enterprise data standards about the use of critical data. Work with business owners on data migration and governance challenges, providing analysis and expertise in business data to recommend strategic solutions. Assist with deploying data issue capture and resolution process. Engage with key business partners to assist with establishing fundamental data governance processes and procedures both at project onset and on an ongoing basis. Create, prepare, and standardize data quality reports for internal analysis. Define key data quality metrics and indicators and facilitate the development and implementation of supporting standards. Ensure the adoption of required policies and standards across the enterprise. Ensure compliance with legal and information security standards. Ensure issues raised by business and functional data governance leaders are resolved, and data objectives are met. Grow, mature, and enforce modern data documentation standards. Qualifications: 5+ years of operational or consultant experience in data management, operations, or governance roles. Excellent work ethic: Exhibits ability to self-manage, scope, prioritize, and communicate operational work results and deadlines on an ongoing basis. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Passionate about the benefits of accurate and actionable data, you drive consistency and enjoy partnering with others to accomplish the task. You possess the talent for strong influence and networking skills to help build and foster strong business relationships, leveraging those relationships to seek consensus amongst the human resources community on governance matters. You demonstrate the ability to translate business issues and requirements into actionable plans and to deliver against those lans. Experience working with IT project managers, architects, and developers, translating business data needs into technical language, and ensuring effective QA / UAT of data solution delivery. Experience with Agile project management principles & tools required You can work autonomously and make independent decisions to meet deliverables with minimal oversight. You are passionate about continuous improvement and want to continue learning to stay relevant to business changes and industry trends.
