About Senior Data and Reporting Professional

  The Senior Data and Reporting Professional generates ad hoc reports and regular datasets or report information for end-users using system tools and database or data warehouse queries and scripts.

  The Senior Data and Reporting Professional engages in assignments ranging in complexity that require interpretation and independent determination for the appropriate course of action.

  The Senior Data and Reporting Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.The Senior Data and Reporting Professional's primary role is to develop organized analytics, reports and data management to support Quality Improvement within the Medicaid product line. Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements. Programs and maintains report forms and formats, information dashboards, data generators, canned reports and other end-user information portals or resources.Begins to influence Quality Improvement strategy. May create specifications for reports necessary for the quality management program. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex opportunities which may support Member Engagement, Clinical Performance, Provider Engagement, Behavioral Health and Pharmacy. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

  Required Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree5+ years of technical experience in data reportingAdvanced proficiency in SQL, SAS and other data systems3 years experience within Managed Care or Healthcare settingAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills including ability to link pivots to external data sources, creating pivot tables and summarizing data into reports and dashboardsAdvanced Microsoft Access skills including ability to link to external data sources, pass-through queries, data structure and relationship design.Strong analytic skills: (ie: Experience working with complex data sets within large organizations and/or the analysis of healthcare data including multi-level drill down assessment of key utilization and financial performance measures related to Population Health)Develop and maintain reporting systems, analytical processes or other tools to support Quality and Clinical Performance, key benchmarks and improve Quality outcomes, i.e., HEDIS, NCQA, CAHPS, PIPS and state regulatory requirements.Proficiency in verbal and written communication to senior and executive leadershipStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple or competing prioritiesMust be able to to work independently

  Preferred Qualifications

  Advanced Degree in a quantitative discipline, such as Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field, Healthcare Administration or Masters in Public HealthExperience with tools such as Tableau, Qlik and Power BI for creating data visualizationsExperience in a system analytics and/or data warehousing environmentExperience with querying data from cloud sources (Azure, etc.)

  Work at Home Criteria

  To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested. Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership. Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense. Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job. Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.
