Who we are looking for
The Credit Risk Analytics and Control team is responsible for the credit risk methodology and reporting for State Street Bank's credit portfolio within the Bank's Internal Capital Assessment Adequacy Process (ICAAP). The team also supports other regulatory prescribed exercises incl. climate stress testing. Moreover, the team performs various Risk Oversight activities, including the production and maintenance of Credit Risk Appetite Metrics and other Senior Management reporting activities. It also provides analytical solutions and quantitative support for the Credit Risk department.
This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

What you will be responsible for
As a (Senior) Credit Risk Manager you should expect to participate in some or all of the following tasks depending on you profile
Work together with Model Developers on the development and optimization of Credit Models (economic capital) and Risk Reporting toolsCollaborate with the local Regulators supervising credit risk related issues, Audit and Model ValidationContribute to the monitoring and assessment of relevant risks within Credit Risk space relative to the Bank's Risk Appetite as well as ad-hoc portfolio analytics asks (ICAAP, RAS, RRP, various Stress Tests)Ensure the right data, analytical tools and skills are available to pro-actively manage credit risk to board appetiteContribute to various cross-functional projectsCommunicate and present your work to senior management and in relevant committees

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Successfully completed Bachelor's and/or Master's degree, preferably in Finance, Business and Economics or related field including numeric discipline; or equivalent degree supplemented by further qualificationsAt least 3 years of experience in a risk management function connected to risk modelling. Ideally, direct exposure to credit risk. For the senior role we'll expect at least 6 years of experience and more in-depth knowledge.Practical knowledge of programming with experience in building solutions in SAS, Python or R.Previous experience in developing/validating/ use of economic capital models is advantageousExperience with ICAAP and stress testing and sound know-how of applicable regulatory requirements would be a plusFluency in English and GermanKnowledge of Capital Market products is a plus.
