Major League Baseball is looking for a marketer to assist with MLB.TV subscription growth across its digital portfolio. The ideal candidate will be a key member of the product and subscriptions group with responsibilities including subscription acquisition, retention and promotional input.
What You Will Do:
New subscriber acquisition planning and activation across platforms Subscriber offers, pricing, and promotions including testing and modeling Subscriber segmentation Reporting, analysis, and recommendations Understanding of best practices Customer obsession New subscriber acquisition planning and activation across platforms Build marketing plan for subscriber acquisition across owned and operated and third-party channels Create and maintain marketing messaging for MLB digital subscription products Build and execute against existing and new promotional events and products to acquire Define retention incentives and timing
Requirements:
3-4 of marketing or promotional experience years prior experience that demonstrates strong successful leadership ability and solid understanding of the complexities of subscription sales and marketing Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and team player skills. Excellent communication and active listening skills. Experience with data, analysis, and business intelligence tools Experience in optimizing initiatives against growth-related KPIs. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) Experienced in launching, build or ongoing management of a digital subscription product Willingness to be hands-on as well as strategic Computer proficiency with knowledge of database services Bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication skills in order to help and instruct users on social media. Experience writing, editing, and crafting content in the social media space using company voice and following established guidelines. Positive personality and good interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain a pleasant disposition when faced with negative feedback or customer complaints. The ability to learn and remember technical instructions on short notice. Knowledgeable in the use of streaming applications and social platforms. Hiring Range: $60,000 - $80,000
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, skills and any other factors Major League Baseball (MLB) considers relevant to the hiring decision.
