Job Description At its core, Visa is a payments network that connects consumers and merchants with financial institutions. At the heart of our brand promise is VisaNet, of which the main components are authorization, clearing and settlement and dispute resolution systems. Payment Products Development (PPD) is the Visa technology organization with responsibility for maintaining and enhancing VisaNet to meet current and future market needs. We develop and manage end-to-end technology solutions that deliver reliable, scalable and secure financial transaction processing services to Visa’s clients.
Our Scrum Masters are highly visible leaders, building bridges across Visa to ensure projects are effectively developed, integrated and deployed with quality and on time delivery into our production systems.
Essential Functions:
End-to-End Planning and Execution: Lead all aspects of the planning and execution process of one or more Agile teams. Ensure that the team is working in sync to achieve the project goals.
Coaching: Mentor the team through the software development lifecycle using Agile, Scrum, and Lean practices. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.
Product Backlog Management: Work closely with the product owner to improve the product backlog. Facilitate scrum ceremonies such as daily stand-up, sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint review/demos, and sprint retrospective.
Build Plan Execution: Drive the execution of the build plan, leading scope, schedule, risk, and quality.
Problem-Solving: Help the engineering teams solve technical issues and move past blockers. Facilitate huddles and technical discussions.
Team Performance: Build and maintain a high-performance team. Lead the team through continuous improvement on Agile execution, engineering standard methodologies, and team collaboration.
Impediment Resolution: Proactively identify and eliminate impediments to facilitate execution.
Reporting: Develop metrics and reports using JIRA to bring transparency to the overall project progress and establish goals.
Stakeholder Communication: Lead or participate in project status presentations to Senior Management and other stakeholders.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Coordinate with external teams on dependencies and cross-team collaboration as needed.
This role requires a strong understanding of Agile methodologies and excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
• 8+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 11+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• CSM certification
• Proficient in using agile project management/collaboration tools: JIRA, Miro, Confluence etc.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a technical field, computer science preferred
• 3 + years of Scrum Master experience
• Experience in payments processing systems.
• Demonstrable expertise of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.
• Thrives in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
• Deep understanding of the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile techniques like TDD, CI/CD
• Experience working with Architecture teams to assess and size story/epics
• Passionate about products and technology
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Deep understanding of agile metrics (tasks, backlog tracking, burn down metrics, velocity, user stories etc.) to analyze and improve sprint planning
• Self-motivated, ability to work independently with light supervision

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 125,500.00 to 163,200.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
