The Senior Compensation Partner will serve as an internal consultant, providing expert analysis and solutions to advise on all compensation-related matters. In this role, you will partner heavily with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business unit leaders to educate and maintain effective compensation programs and strategies that align with our organization's goals and objectives. You will be an integral part of the design, implementation and ongoing management of Appian's compensation programs.
To be successful in this role, you will: Regularly partner with HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition to help address compensation questions by providing insights and data to support compensation decisions aligned with Appian's business needs compensation philosophy.
Proactively evaluate and benchmark pay practices for alignment with internal and external equity and pay trends; propose and implement changes as needed.
Assist in the administration of Appian's annual compensation review cycles, including communications, training and support to leaders/compensation planners.
Routinely analyze newly created roles within Appian to determine appropriate job level, salary grade, and FLSA classification.
Maintain Appian's participation and data submission for all compensation surveys; identify tools to automate and streamline ongoing survey data management process
Support the design, change management, and communication efforts associated with our compensation programs.
Facilitate education on compensation principles, tools and practices to strengthen Human Resources and Talent Acquisition business knowledge of compensation programs and processes.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, legal statutes and internal control requirements, including FLSA determinations
Basic Qualifications: 5-8 years of experience in compensation or related field, preferably with a global organization
Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Google Suite, preferred
Strong written, verbal, and graphic communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying audiences.
Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations based on compensation principles and philosophy.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Ability to understand, relate, and influence multiple stakeholders across the organization.
High level of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive information and confidential data
Strong knowledge of regulatory environments and the ability to maintain compliance of Appian's compensation programs
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Radford global salary surveys
Knowledge of Workday HRIS and survey management systems
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
