Job Summary
Performs system management with little to no supervision. Applies mature understanding of techniques and tools to day to day operational issues. Works closely with other specializations to determine solutions for complex issues
Responsibilities
Technical Support
Provides support on escalations for technical issues. Performs analysis over critical situations and provides root causes reports (on Equinix or with Vendors)Manages capacity, monitoring and define key indicators of shared infrastructures
Systems Support
Identifies systems issues (e.g. business system bugs on functionalities or errors in the managing tools), making recommendations for and/or managing the implementation of solutions
Documentation
Authors documentation (can be technical & non-technical) (e.g., technical specifications and standards, deployment, HLDs, KBs, articles, reports and user manuals) and serves as content owner for standard operating procedures
System Configurations
Mastery in configurations of specific module/modules of a systemBrings in best practices by keeping up-to-date with the technology and vendor productsDocuments configurations for future use and training
Deployment
Deploys new hardware (single-vendor) per the documented guidelines. Engages with vendor in validation of new hardwareConducts training and performs RMA actions. Engages device and customer migrationsPerforms tools and new features deployments. Responsible for new feature enablement
Internal/External Contact

Data Support/ Analysis
Audits data and issues within the It Operations, creating custom reporting to further understand and analyze the issue, and recommends corrective actions/resolutions; assesses validity and integrity of data being used

3+Bachelor/MasterCCNP/JNCIP/BCNP/CISSP/VCP/NCSIE/NCDA/LPIC2/RHCSA/MCSA/MCSE

De functie
Equinix Managed Services is voor haar vestiging in Enschede op zoek naar een Netwerk Engineer die verantwoordelijk is voor het dagelijkse beheer van ICT-diensten en producten. Je bent betrokken bij het implementeren van deze ICT-diensten die integraal onderdeel uitmaken van Equinix Managed Services. Je bent in staat om klantbehoeften te vertalen naar ICT-oplossingen die bestaan uit Storage, Operating Systemen, Cloud-technologie, Netwerkinfrastructuur, Servers en Hardware. Daarnaast ben je verantwoordelijk voor het dagelijkse beheer in de tweede lijn en voor de uitrol van de oplossingen die zorgen voor maximale beschikbaarheid bij de klant. Om dit te bereiken heb je continue focus op het kunnen verbeteren van de infrastructuuroplossingen en denk je na over nieuwe toepassingen en technologieën.
Je taken
Je draagt zorg voor de optimale beschikbaarheid van de netwerkoplossingen van Equinix Managed Services.
Je werkt aan de implementaties van nieuwe klantomgevingen en zorgt hiermee voor een optimale beschikbaarheid.
Je schrijft migratie plannen en draagt bij aan het opstellen van technische documentatie.
Je bent in staat om nieuwe methoden, technieken en inzichten te introduceren en te verdedigen.
Je werkt nauw samen met andere expertiseteams binnen de beheer afdeling.
Je kunt netwerkontwerpen visualiseren in MS Visio
Wie zoeken wij?
Wij zijn op zoek naar een IT Engineer met een HBO werk- en denkniveau (bij voorkeur aangevuld met relevante certificering zoals CCNP of JNCIP). Je beschikt over meer dan 3 jaar aantoonbare werkervaring als netwerk beheerder/ engineer en bent in staat zelfstandig werkzaamheden voor te bereiden, uit te voeren en je gebruikt aanwezige methoden en technieken en communiceert daartoe op operationeel niveau met collega's en klanten. Je ben bereid tot het draaien van consignatiediensten.
