This is a senior role that will significantly influence Visa's business in Latin America. Reporting to the LAC Head of Product and Experience Design (PxD), the individual in this role will primarily be responsible for:
Collaborating with country and regional VCA consultants and Sales Executives and to identify opportunities with clients and partners.
Lead projects in partnership with other VCA verticals, internal product and other areas, design, and third-party agencies when necessary.
Executing client engagements in collaboration with the Design Team and facilitating sessions and workshops using Design Thinking and human-centered design methodologies.
Staying updated on emerging technologies, digital payment trends, and Visa’s capabilities and services. This knowledge will be used to effectively leverage appropriate components for product and experience design with clients, and to provide guidance to the design team.
The role's purpose is to serve as an applied accelerator of advisory services in product and experience design. This involves close collaboration with designers, consultants, other internal teams, customers, and design vendors. The breadth of business design tools and practices will be used to facilitate the execution of leading concepts into new products and services that can be brought to market by our clients and partners.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with Country and Regional Account Executives and VCA consultants to build a client engagement pipeline and track project progress.
Lead and execute client engagements using design thinking and human-centered design methodologies to help various Visa partners prioritize and deliver impactful payment user experiences.
Coordinate with consultants, sales, product, design, developer teams, and third-party agencies to facilitate necessary activities for each engagement.
Utilize Scrum or other project management methodologies to define project phases, key workshop deliverables, and activities.
Stay updated on developments in payments and trends that could impact the payment industry and develop a comprehensive understanding of Visa’s payment services, capabilities, and technical foundations.
Collaborate with VCA, insights, and marketing teams to access relevant content about payments, technology, and consumers for client engagements.
Tailor content to different client segments such as Issuer and Acquirer Banks, Merchants, and Fintechs to inspire design sessions.
Co-facilitate workshops such as Discovery, Co-Creation, Design Sprints, and others in partnership with the design team and external agencies if necessary.
Understand high-level technical requirements to bring the proposed solution to life and collaborate with Solution Architects to define high-level architecture for defining the MVP roadmap.
Promote cross-selling of other advisory services and Visa products and capabilities leveraging VCA Verticals and other areas.
Ensure all client engagements and activities comply with Visa’s processes and requirements.
Work with the Design Team and agencies to standardize repetitive projects to industrialize the practice and create programs for replication with clients and partners in LAC.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or Technology or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD Preferred Qualifications
9 or more years of relevant work experience in innovation, product management, design, strategy, or consulting, having developed digital strategies and designed new products or services, with a Bachelor’s Degree in business Administration, Marketing, Commerce or Technology or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhDDemonstrates expertise in Human Center Design and Design Thinking methodologies, with a strong understanding of the payments industry.Has entrepreneurial spirit, with a knack for innovation, and proven skills in client engagement, communication, and facilitation.Adept at collaborative work in diverse functional environments and possesses strong project management skills.A natural communicator with a passion for storytelling and promoting ideas, open to new insights and adaptable in changing situations.Tech-savvy, with experience in technology and fintech, and the ability to translate human insights into commercial outcomes.Inspires and motivates others, promoting an inclusive environment and diversity of thought.Energetic and positive, especially when tackling challenging problems.Fluent in English and Spanish, with Portuguese proficiency being a plus.
