  The Senior Client Account Manager will provide account support for key health plan clients for AbleTo. They will assist the Account Director in the support and management of client accounts. The ideal candidate should be an independent worker and strategic thinker who is able to partner with the Account Executive to drive growth within the assigned account.

  This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm EST.

  We offer weeks of paid on-the-job training via job shadowing. The hours during training will be 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST from Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

  *All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.

  Primary Responsibilities:

  Assist the Account Executive in crafting the strategic value story across all lines of business for assigned accounts (Commercial, Medicaid, Managed Medicare, etc)

  Identify opportunities to streamline client work and meet business goals across various workstreams, products and lines of business

  Learn the payor business priorities and connect those learnings to the various in flight or future initiatives to ensure the solutions are being implemented in a way that not only meets those needs, but are also consistent and not duplicative

  Drive referral business across clients to increase sales by understanding the metrics, solutioning the challenges and implementing in collaboration with multiple stakeholders (i.e., Marketing, Analytics, Clinical)

  Support the Account Executive in independently managing key account relationships

  Be proficient with healthcare reporting tools to use data to create the value story for assigned clients

  Serve as a client contact for matters specific to assigned client and associated operations

  Ensure client satisfaction and retention by delivering timely and effective solutions, materials or deliverables in support of the client account plan and clients’ objectives

  Support professionally appropriate and meaningful communication with clients in writing, presentations, executive meetings and/or verbally as requested with assigned clients

  Required Qualifications:

  Bachelor degree in a business OR health related field

  10+ years experience with client or relevant account work; in the healthcare industry (health plans, employers, etc)

  Experience working within healthcare reporting tools and to utilize data to craft strategic story

  Ability to travel up to 10% domestically

  Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:30am – 5:00pm EST

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Ability to commute to the office located at 320 W. 37th Street, 5th Floor New York, NY 10018 one time per week

  Reside within a commutable distance of New York, NY, Manhattan, NY, Brooklyn, NY, Stamford, CT, Hoboken, NJ, OR Jersey City, NJ

  Telecommuting Requirements:

  Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

  Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy

  Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

  Soft Skills:

  Excellent listening, communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal

  Experience communicating and coordinating account activities effectively across the organization

  Experience working independently and across departments and client departments to ensure work is timely and complete

  Experience managing multiple projects at a time while paying attention to detail based on customer needs and strategic priorities

  Build and deliver the required materials to support client communications

  California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The annual range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Hawaii / Nevada / New York / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $88,000 - $173,200 per year. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
