The Role
Fidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) business unit is a leading service provider of employer benefits. The Message Execution Center team (MEC) develops and executes e-mail, direct mail, and lead generation campaigns in support of WI's business goals, ensuring that the right message is delivered to the right person at the right time and in the right channel.
As Senior Campaign Developer, you will work as an integral member of the MEC team that develops and delivers these communication campaigns to benefit plan participants. The Senior Campaign Developer is responsible for the team's development, maintenance, and deployment of targeted recipient lists in partnership with a wide range of internal message sponsors, including marketing and product owners. This individual is responsible for working with partners to understand their objectives and customer messaging requirements, develop contact lists, and ensure the timely, flawless delivery of marketing, service, and regulatory communications to WI customers.
Understand communication targeting requirements and develop logic to identify and segment the intended audienceWork with large and varied data sets, from multiple data sources, to conduct analysis on current customer activity and generate concise reporting, contact lists, and relevant insights (experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI and Tableau a plus)Build complex targeting rules in Unica Campaign, Twilio Segment, and/or Salesforce Journey BuilderDevelop scalable, repeatable processes for building target populationsAudit and perform quality assurance to ensure flawless delivery, including peer and team design reviewsSupport and monitor campaigns in production, troubleshoot technical issues, and make modifications as necessary to ensure communication accuracyCall out issues related to scope, schedule, and quality.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Proficient in Oracle, Snowflake and SQL Server databasesProficient at SQL query development, including analytic functions, aggregate calculations, case statements, etc.Experience in managing extensive quality assurance processes prior to providing reports/data to internal customersAttention to detail (emphasis on quality a must)Ability to multi-task, prioritize, take on responsibility and work well under tight project timelinesDependable interpersonal skills and active listening skills to ensure understanding of, and alignment with, customer objectivesAbility to interact with a variety of staff across functions and levelsCampaign management experience (preferably Unica Campaign, Twilio Segment and/or Salesforce Journey Builder).
The Team
We deliver customer messaging for the Communications & Education organization, which is within the operations team in Fidelity's Workplace Investing (WI) business unit. This team provides targeting, distribution, and support services for over 70% of the communications generated by WI, including annual volumes approaching 1 billion email and direct mail pieces! We collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient, accurate, timely delivery of communications that drive high-quality customer experiences across multiple WI product lines.
