About Senior Buyer SCM Procurement

  Eaton's EPG CPD ICD Industrial Controls Division division is currently seeking a Senior Buyer SCM Procurement.

  What you'll do:

  PRIMARY FUNCTION:

  Positioning and ensure adequate inventory levels of materials under its responsibility by implementing correct actions or MRP exception messages and strategies of application materials so that production needs are met in the quantities and required dates.

  ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Monitor and control inventory levels of materials, using the available reports and applications in the AS400-MAPICS system.

  2. Timely and properly execute the MRP exception messages (cancel, defer, place new orders, etc ...) to ensure availability of inventory of material requirements and compliance with the inventory reduction plans.

  3. Review and update all the parameters or fields of procurement in the system (lead times, MOQ, MPQ, etc ...), as needed.

  4. Monitor, control and manage receipts, shipments and inventory levels of materials belonging to the commodity.

  5. Coordinate and / or providing support on projects to reduce costs, optimize logistics processes, operations processes, projects Materials / Supply Chain from the objectives of the company.

  6. Analyze monthly reports of inventory levels of the plant, both in costs as production days. Weekly inventory analysis based on ABC.

  7. Monitor and track the metrics of key business indicators (SRM-Supplier Relationship Management), such as on-time delivery (OTD), quality (PPM), price stability, flexibility and service.

  8. Management claims to suppliers to faulty materials. Meet all assigned according to training schedules.

  9. Provide direct support with the accounting department for physical inventory process.

  10. Give support to other areas (quality, production, planning, finance, customer service, engineering, etc ...) as may be required.

  11. Support the introduction of new products and designs in production lines, as well as transfers of existing products.

  2.1 - Responsibilities related to Health, Safety and Environment (EHS):

  1. Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the MESH Coordinator.

  Qualifications:

  SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

  1. Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or similar careers.

  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in similar areas.

  3. Bilingual (English/Spanish).

  4. PC knowledge, Microsoft Office, AS400, Windows, Access, ERP/MRP.

  5. Capacity and ability to work under pressure and prioritize.

  6. Competencies: Drive for Results, Demonstrates a collaborative style, Makes Decision / Solve Problems, Promotes and Champion changes, Pursues personal development

  Skills:

  6.2 Guidance Received: Indicate what type of guidance your position normally receives (i.e., to what extent it is guided by policies or procedures, in which areas is it the final decision-making authority, what situations would normally be referred to the next level supervisor, how frequently work is reviewed, etc.).

  6.3 Major or Unusual Problems: Briefly describe a few of the most complex problems encountered in achieving your position's primary function.

  1. Outdated systems that provide erroneous results in the material system: inventory discrepancies, incorrect BOMs, etc.

  2. Parts rejected by quality

  3. Significant differences between pre-load and end load

  6.4 Job Progressions: Indicate positions typically held prior to promotion to your current position and identify the positions which might be the next most logical promotional step.

  6.5 External Contacts: Describe the nature and purpose of your contacts outside the Corporation.

  6.6 Principal Accountabilities: Describe five or six critical end results which your position is expected to accomplish.

  1. Timely and appropriate implementation of the MRP exception messages (cancel, defer, place new orders, etc ...) to ensure availability of inventory of material requirements and compliance with inventory reduction plans.

  2. Review and update all the parameters or fields of procurement in the system (lead times, MOQ, MPQ, etc ...), as needed.

  3. Monitor, control and manage receipts, shipments and inventory levels of materials under consignment agreements pertaining to the commodity.

  4. Maintenance and Account Payables Holds solution.

  5. Management of the SRM (Supplier Relationship Management): monitoring, measuring, and monitoring the results of key performance indicators on-time delivery (OTD), quality (PPM), price stability, flexibility and service.
