Position Summary
The Sr Buyer for Corporate Indirect Procurement will work closely with internal stakeholders to achieve business objectives by working together to source suppliers who can deliver quality service and products at the best value. This involves understanding the business needs, agreeing and managing the sourcing process, analyzing options, concluding negotiations and contracting. They will lead category / supplier management for sub-categories and suppliers assigned to them.
Responsibilities
Lead sourcing events in line with Energizers Strategic Sourcing Approach; including conducting opportunity analysis, data collection, RFI and RFP’s, utilising the Ariba e-procurement system.
Responsible for sourcing suppliers and services, managing negotiations.
Both supports and independently executes supplier negotiations, including: Contract renewals, cost reduction, value creation and cash flow improvement.
Develop category and supplier profiles
Establish a knowledge of stakeholder management processes and ensure engagement with stakeholders.
Work with stakeholders to understand and plan future needs.
Be involved with supplier QBR’s and manage contract compliance.
Strong analytical skills with experience of using Excel to conduct quantitative analysis.
Support the development of category specific pipelines.
Develops and implements procurement strategies, goals and savings targets in line with company strategy, stakeholder needs and procurement best-practices
Demonstrates expertise in benchmark and should-cost analyses using competitive intelligence and reports – viewed as a subject matter expert and business partner
Demonstrates mastery and flexibility in the use of Energizer’s strategic sourcing process.
Supports risk and compliance program management.
Conducts supply market analysis.
Executes sourcing and product cycle plan projects independently.
Tracks procurement performance metrics.
Demonstrates strong knowledge of negotiation tools/techniques and applies them regularly.
Manages sophisticated analysis (including financial) and business cases independently.
What we are looking for
Bachelor’s degree.
4-7 years of Procurement experience.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to drive, manage and implement projects.
Excellent stakeholder engagement with ability to develop and maintain relationships beyond being “in person”.
SAP, SRM, Ariba tool sets.
Experience in quantitative analysis using Microsoft Excel.
Strong strategic, critical and analytical thinking with demonstrated results.
Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to present in business-friendly language.
Ability to set priorities and make decisions.
Strong facilitation skills to collaborate with stakeholders across categories, countries and levels.
Reasonable commercial and legal understanding of contracts.
Experience of working remotely from line management.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects.
Experience working in SAP and Ariba.
Knowledge and use of eProcurement and eSourcing methodology.
