Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Buyer. This facility is located in El Paso, TX and is an excited time to join a growing team! Our plant has roughly about 260 employees, and manufactures made to order commercial panel and switch boards.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
The Senior Buyer will have the responsibility for the releasing and on-time delivery of purchase orders for raw material and production support activities. This role will be responsible for resolving any procurement, quality, invoice, and inventory related issue. Part consumption behavior and other part characteristic analysis will be a key component for this position. Interface with customer service, internal and external suppliers, product engineering and production is critical to ensure a high level of support to satisfy the customer
In this function you will:
Interact with suppliers to communicate delivery expectations, forecasts, design changes, lead-time management, and material expedites or delays to ensure suppliers meet supplier on time delivery goalsDrive cost reduction opportunitiesSupport strategic sourcing to align negotiations, new supplier selection, and supply chain strategyReview purchase requisitions, place purchase orders, issue change notices, review exception messages to ensure delivery of materials or services as necessary to adhere to production schedulesMaintain material master records for assigned materials; ensure accurate records, source lists, and promptly reconcile supplier invoices for paymentReview part consumption characteristics to ensure appropriate planning parameters are maintainedReview and maintain internal / external Kanban replenishment, vendor managed programs, scheduling agreements and blanket ordersProvide root cause corrective action when neededParticipate in continuous improvement opportunitiesProactively avoid material shortages
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.3+ years of experience performing purchasing and production planning functions in a manufacturing environment.Must be eligible to work in the US without company sponsorship.No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the facility listed will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Proficient experience with MAPICSPurchasing experience in a made to order manufacturing environment APICS certification (CPIM)Demonstrated capability of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies - Green Belt certification a plusDemonstrated negotiation experienceProven experience with quality assurance and reporting accuracyProven knowledge and applications skills with process improvementsAbility to work with Engineering teams and all Operations related departments
