Eaton's IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Senior Buyer. This position will be located at our Bethel, CT facility.
The Senior Buyer will be responsible for commodities such as: EEE components, metal parts, connectors, sub-assemblies, capital expenditures, and fasteners totaling $5M in annual spend. The ideal candidate has experience in the aerospace industry.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $77249.97 - $113299.96 a year.

What you'll do:
• Source and purchase turned, machined, electrical, and fastener products for aerospace applications.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• Develop and execute plans to exceed key supplier goals (OTD, Cost Out, DPPM, BCC).
• Lead resourcing of $5M annual spend to optimize material cost out, and supplier performance, by leveraging Best Cost Country (BCC), and other domestic preferred suppliers.
• Analyze specifications to recommend sourcing in make/buy decisions & cost-price considerations.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to ensure purchased materials meet the required specifications and ensure corrective actions are submitted in a timely fashion.
• Support Supplier Consolidation in alignment with Eaton preferred suppliers.
• Partner with Shared Services Team to ensure continuity to material flow in support of customer OTD and inventory mitigation, by responding to RFQ triggers (expedite, de-expedite, cancel) in real time.
• Continued expansion of consignment initiatives and support of supplier visualization portal that conveys real time materials requirements to supply base.
• Partner with commodity managers and regional sourcing managers to drive BCC transition plan, while mitigating disruption risk from existing footprint.
• Support several supplier transitions at the site.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three (3) years experience in a Supply Chain function.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 60-mile radius of Bethel, CT will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with the procurement of electronics, metals and machined components.
• Aerospace buying experience in a large corporate environment.
• CPIM certified.
• Advanced Excel Skills.
• Understanding of supplier processes for electronics, metals and machined parts commodities.
• Basic understanding of Mil-Specs and blueprints.
• Experience with negotiation & cost analysis.
• Planning or scheduling experience.
