About Senior Business Development Representative (Growth Verticals), Uber for Business

  This is a hybrid role - our team collaborates in-person out of our incredible office in New York City on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

  About the Role

  Uber for Business is looking for a sharp, results-oriented Business Development Representative to join our newly formed Growth Verticals team. Business Development Representatives work closely with our outbound sales teams and play a critical part of our ability to identify, qualify and serve customers across several key growth verticals. This role is the foundation of our sales organization by ensuring we have a consistent, strong pipeline of new prospects and opportunities to fuel growth.

  If you're a self-starter and take initiative to seize opportunities, this team is evolving every day and requires highly motivated individuals who are responsible for driving revenue through strategic outreach and relationship building.

  What You'll Do

  Generate and qualify new business opportunities to fuel the pipeline with assigned Mid-Market and Enterprise Account ExecutivesConduct creative outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, and marketing campaignsHit assigned Key Performance Metrics that are not limited to, but including set expectations of Sales Qualified Leads (SQL's) per month, and average deal size of those opportunitiesEngage in high-level conversations with key buying personas in order to uncover a prospect's business challenges and identify relevant new business opportunities, while highlighting the Uber for Business value propositionManage, track, and report on all sales activities and results using SalesforceCollaborate with Account Executives and sales management to develop targeted account lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business

  Basic Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree requiredAt least 2 years of previous cold-calling sales/business development experience

  Preferred Qualifications

  3 years of B2B sales experienceExperience using a CRM (ex: Salesforce) to handle daily activitiesExperience with email campaigns and Salesforce preferredAbility to build outstanding customer relationshipsSalesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Zoom Info and Groove experience preferredExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and handle time efficientlyHave a positive, dedicated team-first mentality with a desire to learn

  For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$80,000 per year - USD$88,750 per year.

  Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
