  The Role

  The Senior Billing Operations Analyst plays a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient invoicing as well as, maintaining data integrity related to rates, revenue capture within various systems. Manages the operation of the billing systems to ensure the effective delivery of billing information. Assists in the development of solutions to billing problems and in testing the accuracy of system modifications designed to accommodate these solutions. These responsibilities will be performed for both internal and external customers. Has decision making power to correct billing errors without supervision. May perform some Lead Analyst responsibilities under supervision.

  The Main Responsibilities

  Builds and runs various queries to establish reports for various internal customers in regard to billing processes and information.

  Analyzes billing information to provide recommendations and data to various internal customers, and to ensure accurate translation of contract and billing information.

  Works to enforce the company’s standardization and automation objectives while ensuring that there is no revenue impact to the business.

  Assists with cross training and guidance for team on complex issues.

  Assists in the development of solutions to billing problems. Attends, and may lead, meetings as necessary for data products to ensure accurate billing, development of new products, and migration of new systems and products. Assists with post-conversion cleanup, analysis, auditing and remediation projects as required.

  Has the authority to make decisions on process improvements and migrations working with all teams involved.

  Maintains operational and specific product line knowledge with the ability to translate and correlate this data to billing practices and requirements.

  Recommends and may develop practical operating procedures in the billing process.

  Monitors the operation of systems to ensure the effective delivery of billing information.

  Lead the implementation of a variety of Billing projects, often in areas so complex or new, there are no established methods to follow.

  Analyzes errors and traces them back to the root cause using the raw data in the appropriate database to implement systematic fixes rather than repetitive data fixes.

  What We Look For in a Candidate

  Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

  3-5 years of prior billing operations experience.

  Working knowledge of the various billing systems (Ensemble, CRIS, CABS, Kenan, Latis, BART/MBS, NIBS or applicable experience within applications that interface with the billers (ex. ordering, reporting, accounting).

  Must be proficient in SQL, MS Access and Excel.

  Excellent analytical, communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.

  Ability to prioritize issues in a timely, efficient manner.

  Must be detailed orientated, can learn quickly, work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  Requires problem solving and multitasking skills.

  Must be self-motivated and proactive

  Ability to work with minimal direction/supervision.

  Compensation

  The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

  Location Based Pay Ranges

  $63980 - $79973 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

  $67340 - $84173 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

  $70710 - $88380 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

  $74070 - $92588 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

  As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

  This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

  This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
