We are building out a new Business Intelligence solution including an Enterprise Data Warehouse Microsoft Power BI for reporting and analytics. As Senior BI BSA (Business Systems Analyst) you'll build partnerships across the business to ensure delivery of optimum solution.
Responsibilities:
Define and document data, analytic, and reporting requirements using industry-standard analysis and documentation techniques including data interrogation and data profiling of source systems.Elicit business requirements, document in-use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for agile delivery team. Build visualizations and traditional tabular reports using Microsoft PowerBI to support defined business needs.PowerBI champion for business leaders around dashboards, analytics, and data visualizations development and drive process efficiency/improvements.Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect, cleanse and standardize data that helps to generate insights and addresses analytic and reporting needs. Research and analysis of operational, HR, and financial data and trends. Translate conclusions into understandable and actionable informationUse data, modeling and optimization methods to develop new strategies and improve business performance. Support ad-hoc projects in support of driving business insights, intelligence, and improvements.Provide instructor led training and support to end users on navigation of the BI system. Provide input on architecture of Data Model and ETL processes based on business requirements and in-depth knowledge of data sources.Assist in preparation and execution of test cases for initiatives including support of user acceptance testing
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Statistics, Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics or other quantitative focus. Minimum 5 years in quantitative analysis, data modeling, reporting, relational database tools, data warehousing, database architecture, SQL & SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) & PowerBI.Minimum 3 years as a Data Analyst or similar role for Business Intelligence projects. Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Microsoft BI and the ability to create report mockups, optimize Microsoft Power BI reports/dashboards with a focus on usability, performance, flexibility, testability, and standardization.Understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational data models. Experience crafting reports, dashboards, and/or summarizing large amounts of data into actionable intelligence to drive business decisions.Hands-on experience using SQL for performing data profiling, formatting and ad hoc data analysis and navigate a relational database. Scripting language (R, Python, DAX, etc.) is a plus.AWS (Amazon Web Services) ecosystem, including services such as Amazon Redshift, Athena, and AWS Glue to create data models and extract valuable insights.Advanced Excel data manipulation. Strong analytical skills, able to turn data analysis into business-impacting insights, acute attention to detail.
