Position Summary
In the Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer role, the individual will be working as part of the Corporate IT Infrastructure team and will partner closely with Huron’s business unit leadership to develop, support, and mature Huron’s public cloud footprint. .

Position Summary
Under limited direction, this individual is responsible for supporting and developing cloud solutions that improve how Huron does business. This will involve understanding the business units’ AWS needs and providing solutions that meet those needs, optimizing workloads for AWS, building/maintaining processes & standards, and becoming a trusted business partner. This role will also be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement to existing infrastructure/processes, and implementing solutions while working within the Agile framework.
QUALIFICATIONS:
4+ years of hands-on experience with public cloud environments.
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in Information Technology or Computer Science or related experience.
AWS Solutions Architect certification is required, or ability to obtain within 3 months.
AWS Specialty Certification is required (Network, Security, Database, etc.), or ability to obtain within roughly 6 months.
Strong abilities to both author and interpret scripts in Python or PowerShell.
Hands-on experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting EC2(Elastic Compute Cloud), VPC (virtual private cloud), IAM(identity and access management), S3(Storage buckets), Lambda, and CloudTrail - Services in complex, multi-account organizations.
Hands-on experience creating CloudFormation templates, as well as troubleshooting third-party CloudFormation templates.
Hands-on experience with AWS migration tools such as MGN (or legacy SMS).
Familiarity with both Windows Server and Linux OSes, as well as basic supporting infrastructure like Active Directory & DNS.
Ability to work flexible hours including at times nights and weekends.
Understanding of basic network concepts such as routing & transit gateways is a plus.
