Senior Associate- Strategy, Training and Communications Risk Specialist| Retail Bank (Hybrid)
The mission of the Retail Risk Office is to help enable Retail Bank to deliver innovative products and services to our customers in a well-managed way.
As a Risk Specialist on the Strategy, Training and Communications team, you will be part of a highly motivated team responsible for delivering top-notch support to our Retail Risk Office associates.
You will have the opportunity to:
Work with multiple horizontal support teams to identify upstream and downstream dependencies in our efforts to be well-managed. By closely working with Pod Leads, you will help maintain and refine team backlogs in an organized manner, to ensure we are properly prioritizing our work.Use your vantage point to connect the dots of the changing strategic and operational priorities and partner with leadership to understand the impactsLeverage productivity tools to influence improvement and/or enhancement opportunitiesSelf manage and consistently deliver results
Qualities of a Successful Candidate:
Creative and Communicative - You are experienced in developing digital learning content (bonus if you have Risk Management experience) for use in a variety of applications, such as training, Pinpoint, job aids, templates, etc. You communicate complex ideas concisely and convincingly. You adjust your communication to your audience and are comfortable with presenting to all levels within the organization.
Collaborative and Team-Oriented - You thrive in a collaborative space and are not afraid to seek insights from others. You bring energy to the group and rally to reach a common goal. Building and maintaining relationships is natural for you.

You collect and analyze data to identify trends and training opportunities that are grounded in evidence. You are comfortable consulting with risk office partners to uncover learning needs and will recommend and execute targeted learning solutions.
Action-Oriented and Results-Driven - You have a desire to take action and try new things. You stay focused on your goals and deliver against milestones. You're organized, able to juggle multiple initiatives and prioritize your work while keeping the customer at the forefront of everything you do.

Basic Qualifications:
-High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
-At least 2 years experience in Risk Management
-At least 2 years experience in Training Design and Facilitation
-At least 1 year of Agile/Jira exposure using Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree or Military experience
-Experience navigating Chariot/Pinpoint

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $99,500 - $113,600 for Sr. Risk Associate
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
