KPMG is currently seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our Accounting Methods and Credit Services practice.
Responsibilities: Assist with accounting methods assessment, R&D Credit design, and implementation of projects related to revenue and expense recognition, capitalized items, fixed assets, and inventories Provide support with cost segregation studies and tax depreciation analysis. Develop and provide knowledge in federal tax credits including, including but not limited to Employee Retention Credit (ERC), Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), Energy Credits, including the Investment Tax Credit (ITC) and Production Tax Credit (PTC), New Markets Tax Credits (NMTC), Federal Disaster Tax Credits and other emerging federal tax credits Assist in credit studies and related activities. Aid in the preparation, review, and filing of Form 3115 Application for Change in Accounting method Provide support for method reviews and assessments by assisting with the designing and implementing of projects related to revenue and expense recognition, capitalized items, fixed assets, and inventories Assist in new business development, including add-on business, while sustaining excellent client service by networking within the firm and building on existing relationships outside of the firm. Offer quality assurance, engagement review and exam support Qualifications: Minimum two years of tax credit experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation experience Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PDF, and PowerPoint Experience performing tax research, tax credit, reading case law and familiarity with the internal revenue code and associated regulations Excellent oral and written communication skills; Ability to handle multiple engagements and client service teams Ability to travel and work at client location
