　　Summary / Role Purpose

　　Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve their real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys' business.

　　You will join a diverse team of global experts in support of the Ansys Thermal Desktop product and use your advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales & support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. You will be working within multi-disciplinary teams to advance your knowledge, experience, and business impact.

　　In this dynamic customer-facing role, you will have the opportunity to engage with industry-leading companies across the world.

　　Key Duties and Responsibilities

　　Lead in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, negotiate technical success criteria, product presentations, demonstrations and evaluations. Work independently within multi-disciplinary teamsInteract with customers to understand their product design needs and engineering design workflows; analyze how to address customers' requirements using Ansys Thermal Desktop, articulate Ansys' value propositionCreating differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys Thermal Desktop and other Ansys products; deploy the solutions within customers' design workflowsDevelop competence as a subject matter expert and industry expertCollaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features; test new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems, develop application best practicesSupport Ansys field and digital marketing, author conference presentationsContribute to consulting services, conduct intermediate and advanced training classes

　　Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

　　Required education and degree type: BS or MS or PhD in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering or related fieldRequired minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+4, MS+2, or PhD+0Demonstrated use of commercial thermal or flow network modeling software packagesSubject matter expertise in thermal engineering disciplineLogical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking EnglishStrong organizational and time management skills, possesses a sense of urgencyProjects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeedAbility to travel domestically up to 25% of time

　　Preferred Qualifications and Skills

　　Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+6, MS+4, or PhD+2Experience using any combination of Thermal Desktop, RadCAD, FloCAD, OpenTD API (Application Program Interface), and TD Direct. Experience with the following will also be considered: NX-Thermal, Maya HTT TMG, ESATAN, SINDA, TSS, Flowmaster, GT-Suite, Amesim, Thermica, Easy5, or similar.Customer-facing experience in application engineering, customer support, or consulting services using engineering softwareAbility to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executivesAbility to travel domestically up to 50% of time
