Job Description About this role:
As a Senior Analyst you will be an integral member of the Inventory Accounting team. The role will be a blend of accounting and FP&A activities related to inventory manufacturing cost allocation and COGS across the globe. Responsibilities include monthly/quarterly Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations, Internal Controls, Forecasting, analyzing variances vs expectations, PO&T COGS (i.e. E&O, Rejects, Idle Costs, etc.) reporting and accounting.
What you will do:
Lead monthly/quarterly close activities around inventory capitalization, manufacturing variance relief, quality rejects, raw material E&O.Support forecast and budget-to-actual activities for COGS, Inventory Capitalization, Inventory variances. Including maintenance of accounting model and ad hoc reporting.Maintain control of key areas of balance sheet and support external audit. Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and BIIB accounting policy and procedures.Support all ad hoc requests and analysis related to areas of responsibility and working on CI initiatives. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance.3+ years in Accounting (including cost accounting/manufacturing experience).Experience in working with Oracle/SAP/Hyperion.Strong attention to detail, communication skills, willingness to learn.Ability to work in a team, multitask and work effectively in fast paced environment.Fluent English.
