American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the Global leader in the Commercial Payments Solutions space and subsequently continues to be an exciting and fast-growing segment. To maintain success, accelerating sales and driving profitable charge volume growth are critical for the organization. The Sales Enablement, Pricing and Transformation (SPT) team within the Commercial Business Enablement organization is instrumental in ensuring achievement of these objectives. Our team’s vision is focused on being essential architects of growth, profitability, and operating efficiency for GCS. SPT’s mission is to power GCS growth through the provision of informed pricing, sales enablement support and process transformation.
The Transformation and Automation (TAG) team within the SPT organization, is a transformation engine serving GCS leveraging expertise in Automation, Process Engineering, Data Analytics & Advanced Project Management to deliver critical business solutions that drive direct financial impact, improved productivity, and increased safeguards for the business.
How will you make an impact in this role?
The Senior Analyst, APM within TAG will support the delivery of GCS strategic projects for the TAG organization. The role is highly visible with great exposure to cross functional business teams and success is measured on driving delivery of expected outcomes.
The analyst will report to Director-APM, TAG and work closely with other Managers and Directors on the team to support the execution of critical initiatives.
Core Responsibilities:
Partner with Managers and Directors on the team to support the conceptualization and execution of strategic projects
Provide project support working alongside Managers/ Directors and effectively apply project management techniques to coordinate, plan and implement initiatives while meeting or exceeding timelines
Support Manager/Directors to develop and implement PMO standards & template e.g., project charter, project plan, RAID, project governance
Partner with multiple customers across the American Express including, Product, Sales & AD, Marketing, Technologies, Operations Excellence, Finance, Operations to drive the execution of the strategic projects
Use data to develop insights and produce opportunity assessments designed to identify, size and scope strategies for improving revenue and margins
Minimum Qualifications:
Highly motivated self-starter, curiosity, a willingness to learn and a sense of ownership and accountability
2 to 3 years of combined experience in Consulting, and/ or Program Management/ Strategy
Excellent knowledge of MS Office; solid understanding of program/project management software (MS Project etc.) is a strong advantage
Strong communication and relationship management skills, both written and verbal, with ability to interact with partners across all management levels
Excellent problem-solving ability
Ability to analyze data and information to proficiently produce important conclusions and recommendations
Ability to build and leverage relationships with key business partners
Bachelor's Degree required
Preferred Qualifications
Broad knowledge of AXP business models and working knowledge of GCS technology platforms a plus
Understanding of GCS business and relevant customer data landscape, a plus
Program Management, Six Sigma and/or other related certifications to demonstrate control approach is a plus
Qualifications
Salary Range: $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually bonus benefits
