  POLITICO is looking for an entrepreneurial, results-oriented salesperson to join our dynamic and growing Advertising Sales team. The position is based in Brussels, Paris, or Berlin. POLITICO is a pioneering and growing media company that covers the politics, policy, and personalities of global political influencers.

  Role & Responsibilities

  The Senior Advertising & Strategic Partnerships Manager position is a sales position with the primary objective to oversee assigned account relationships and responsibilities headquartered in Europe.

  We seek an experienced, self-starter who works proactively to achieve business objectives while maintaining a culture of collaboration, development, and achievement.

  The successful candidate will have a good understanding of account handling, a confident communicator both internally and externally to clients and agencies, and a thorough understanding of public affairs and corporate communications.

  This a critical role for the European team, you will be part of a dynamic team tasked with expanding the European market, while working within a global sales team.

  The ideal candidate will:

  Be a seasoned sales professional with experience working with multinational organizations on paid media campaigns globallyHave experience in key account management, working with clients on a day to day basis to understand their business challengesMaintain a thorough understanding of client's business and lead strategic advice across teamsBe a collaborator, open to working with teams across departments and geographies to deliver the best possible solution to meet client needs. 'Have a network of contacts across brands and media agencies in the Europe, developing those relationships to help achieve POLITICO's commercial objectivesKeep updated on competitive trends within assigned industriesScan the market and develop strategies to acquire new accountsDrive innovation and fresh thinkingBuild and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities to achieve sales resultsConceptualize, prepare, and deliver sales presentationsEmbody the successful brand presence of POLITICO in the market, represent POLITICO at member briefings, network events and industry conferencesThrive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

  Qualifications

  Required qualifications:

  5+ years of professional experience, including business-to-business salesExperience in consultative selling with the ability to craft insightful solutionsAn in depth understanding of the media industry.Experience in meeting or exceeding high sales targets and managing client relationshipsExceptional presentation skills and confident pitchingEntrepreneurial mindset and strong client services ethicExcellent written communication skills Ability to prioritize and recognize business-critical matters while remaining adaptableA university degree is requiredFluent English, written and spoken; any other European language an asset

  Preferred qualifications:

  Experience with the Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint to be used in presentationsExposure to Salesforce or other CRM tools Interest in and understanding of current UK and European political and policy issuesOutgoing nature and a can-do attitudeAn organized operator who thrives under the demands of clientsGravitas and confidence, someone who can comfortably communicate and relate to all levels of people within a businessSense of humor

  This is a full-time, office-based position in Brussels, Paris or Berlin, and involves some travel across Europe.
