Our Financial Accounting team utilizes state-of-the-art technology to expertly prepare, analyze, and interpret financial data, producing comprehensive financial reports that capture every aspect of Spectrum's telecommunications business.

  As a Senior Accountant Lead, you'll prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements within your assigned functional area or department and provide guidance on financial operations. Our integrity and high-quality work of analyzing financial data ensure we accurately reflect the transactions across our businesses. Through a strategic long-term view and compliance with accounting standards, we help position our business leaders to make better and timely decisions that achieve our goals.

  WHAT OUR SENIOR ACCOUNTANT TEAM LEADS ENJOY MOST

  Reviewing assigned ledgers to understand the variances both in trends and to budget and being prepared to present the financial statements to the accounting managerPreparing month-end journal entries from accounting transactions over the calendar month, including A/R Reconciliations, operating accruals, and Misc revenueProviding insight into the variances of assigned ledgers including communicating with Field KMA (Key Market Area) personnel on accounting-related issues; completing monthly KMA variance reports; supporting the KPMG audit process; and providing specifically required analysis on assigned areasReviewing, commenting, and providing feedback on assigned balance sheet reconciliations prepared by other Senior or Staff AccountantCompleting filings for assigned areas including semi-annual copyright filings and business licensesUpdating all required schedules for maintaining the balance sheet and completing AR recsBeing responsible for compliance with SOX controlsPerforming training of new staff as requestedPerforming special project work at the enterprise or specific KMA levelReviewing transactional level detail including accruals transactions and adjusting the ledger accordinglyPerforming other duties as requested

  WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SPECTRUM

  Required Qualifications

  4-6 years of General ledger Accounting work experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related fieldAbility to speak, read, write, and understand EnglishAbility to communicate with employees, customers, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straightforward, and professional, and pleasant mannerAbility to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)Ability to work independentlyAbility to use personal computer and software applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)Knowledge of cable television products and services

  Working Conditions

  Hybrid Schedule- Three in-office days weekly
