This individual will oversee generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for the most complex and high-profile areas of responsibility. Prepares journal entries to record assets, liabilities, shareholders’ equity, revenues, and expenses. Performs complex analysis of financial information and prepares reports aimed at providing executive and management insight and awareness to financial performance. Collaborates with others to develop and enhance accounting systems and processes. Provides leadership over accounting projects and processes to accomplish specified goals and objectives.
Responsibility

• Works with various department personnel to ensure transactions are properly recorded each period in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Prepares and delivers clear and concise reports for monthly and quarterly financial information related to assigned areas of responsibility. Researches and interprets financial information to prepare these reports to summarize current and projected company financial position. Assists the Manager and Director in continued report enhancement.
• Assists with providing timely and accurate monthly corporate reporting to Planning and Analysis. Develops assumptions and expectations based on knowledge of prior history and current market situations to provide a reasonable basis for corporate projections.
• Ensures the general ledger is reconciled both timely and completely, reconciling assigned accounts, providing analysis of material changes, and investigating and resolving discrepancies.
• Collaborates with others internal and external to the accounting function to ensure the department objectives are accomplished. Manages projects, processes, and timelines. Determines the most appropriate utilization of resources and delegates assignments.
• Works directly with Information Systems in developing and implementing various new accounting systems to ensure increased efficiency and accuracy in the accounting process. Ensures compliance with accounting system controls.
Qualifications
Experience and Education
• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certifications
• CPA or CPA eligible preferred.

• Advanced knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Working Environment
•This is a hybrid role. In office Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday. Remote Flexibility Thursday & Friday.
