Description Do you want to become a Senior Accountant with a Construction/Contractor firm? If you have a background in accounting, Robert Half is looking for candidates like you. This role handles essential tasks, such as financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Candidates need to bring strong analytical skills to the role and should be capable of handling challenging, fast-paced work environments. This Senior Accountant role is based in Dallas, Texas with a company in the Construction/Contractor field. Your responsibilities
Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Manage Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Ensure corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls are followed when working with business partners and be able to provide support on special requests Requirements - Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Proficient in ERP systems
Great attention to detail
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Solid understanding of Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Exceptional time management skills preferred
Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
