Job Description Summary:
The Security Manager position directly supports the US Security Organization for all ongoing activities that serve to provide appropriate access to, and protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of employee and business information in compliance with organization policies, procedures and regulatory requirements including NERC's Cyber Security Standards. The ideal candidate will also be equally capable of maintaining the necessary documentation, logs, and change management systems required by the US Security standards, with support from the AES Clean Energy compliance team.
Specifically, this position is responsible for performing security assessments (physical and cyber), developing security designs, implementation of security designs, and maintenance of physical security infrastructure (Access Control, Video Surveillance, Perimeter Fencing, & Motion Detection systems) that support the operations at AES Clean Energy sites throughout the US.
Job Description Responsibilities
The candidate must have a strong working knowledge of security assessment methodology, access control systems and video surveillance systems. General working knowledge of computer networking concepts is required. In addition, the primary duties and responsibilities include:
• Perform security assessments at AES Clean Energy sites throughout the US.
• Design, maintain, troubleshoot, configure and engineer industry-based Physical Access Control Systems (PACS). These systems include Kantech, Tattletale, HID, AWID, Honeywell, Vicon, Exacqvision, etc.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, configure and engineer closed-circuit IP-based camera systems.
• Process troubleshooting requests and repairs for PACS and camera systems.
• Replace and install PACS and camera system hardware and software in a utility-based environment.
• Safely work from heights exceeding 15 feet.
• Install, maintain, configure and troubleshoot PACS and camera management operating systems, including Windows and Linux.
• Conduct routine hardware and software audits of all supported security devices to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, procedures, and requirements.
• Work with vendors, application developers, database administrators, corporate IT, and other technology groups to resolve any problems.
• Participate in the Cyber Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT).
• Participate in disaster recovery planning, development, exercises, and actual events.
• The candidate must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and responds to requests for supporting information.
• Other duties as assigned.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $95.000 and $123.250/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
